Thursday 9 September 5:00pm

We are relieved that water issues have been resolved and that, as expected, our buildings have been assessed as safe for us to occupy. The school will be open on Monday 13 September. The staff have been at school today preparing for the return of students. They will be back tomorrow to discuss the varying ways to best meet the wide range of pastoral and psychological needs the students are likely to have in the wake of the earthquake.  Please contact your child's homeroom teacher, preferably by email, if your child has any specific needs we need to be aware of. Please phone the school and leave a message if your child is absent on Monday.

The annual exchange with Broadgreen Intermediate, which was due to take place during the last week of this term, has been postponed until a week in the middle of Term 4. The specific dates are yet to be determined. If you were to host a billet from Broadgreen in your home, we will be in touch with you next week.

We are hoping that the production, "New School Rulez", which was to be performed this week, will be able to be presented during the last week of this term (Tuesday 21 - Thursday 23 September). There are a number of logistical matters to be worked through before we can confirm these dates however we are determined that the show must go on!

Thank you for your ongoing support. We are all looking forward to returning to some semblance of normality.

Ross Hastings
Principal
